FUN FACTS
- The original title for Track 4 was Wet Pencil Shavings. During a visit to the studio, Franklin's own Cadence heard the track and renamed it Kiddie Section at Wal-Mart.
- The track Caucasian Invasion contains a sample from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" Speech, originally performed by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Used without permission.
- Duck unintenionally ignores conventional pronunciation of the word "façades" during the intro of Caucasian Invasion, dropping the cedille for the more american "facades," or "fak-kades."
- Frozen, widely considered the worst DSX song, was named after a Madonna song with the same title.
- The production on the album predates extensive use of computers by the band. Most of the drumbeats were programmed using Hammerhead on a Dell PC. All of the keyboard parts were played live on a keyboard owned by "Dune" Baydoun. This keyboard was later repossessed by Dune's strict father, forever altering DSX's "classic" sound.
- You Lift Me Up was originally a song performed by DCS, the heavy metal band from which DSX would ultimately form.
- The album was recorded entirely on MiniDisc.
